A Big Announcement Teased
SPEAKER_00Well, hello friends. It's episode 326. I've got some exciting news today about this podcast. If you have been a longtime listener, you know that we started together at the end of 2019, right before COVID, right? Right before COVID. COVID hits a few months later after this podcast launch, and everyone was trying to start a business. So it went gangbusters this podcast has been so fun. I have to tell you, it has been of the most fulfilling things I've ever done in my life. And if you have a business and are thinking about starting a podcast, I would seriously consider it. I think it's an awesome way to reach people around the world and have them get to know you for who you are. It's not just like social media posting and trying to capture their attention for five seconds. This is like a way for you to create a bond with the people that you're meant to serve. And I want to thank you all, first of all, for listening, for listening to me, just a person here in Texas that felt a calling to help people stop overthinking and stop the fear about starting a business and actually do it, because running your own business is one of the most fulfilling things you'll ever do. And I think having a podcast is just such an amazing way to express yourself. I know some people like to write and they're really good at writing. For those of you that are on Substack and maybe you have a blog, it's awesome. For those of you that like to be on video, maybe you're on YouTube, or maybe even do social media all the time. Maybe you go live. More power to you. That is amazing. I think there's a special lane here for podcasting. I know a lot of you tell me, a lot of you are not necessarily video watchers of podcasts. That's what I'm being told. I could be wrong. Tell me if I'm wrong. But a lot of you like to listen to actual podcasts. It's easier on the podcast app. And you like to just listen when you're on a walk, when you're cleaning house, running around, doing stuff, um, when you're running errands, when you're in carpal lane, when you're driving. You tell me that's when you listen. And I think it's awesome. And I'm so honored. And so I want to thank you first and foremost for being such loyal listeners for the wonderful reviews and even for the hater reviews, because the hater reviews do help me think and really analyze, you know, am I doing this in the most effective way possible? And actually helping you. So luckily, there hasn't been many haters. But, you know, y'all know I got that recent one that said you talk too much at the beginning. And I had already been thinking that I needed to eliminate some of my intro to get into things faster. And I've left it. It's been awesome. So I appreciate that feedback. So, anyways, I wanted to just tell you what's going on. So I've kind of had this vision that um, you know, obviously this podcast has been about business. It's still going to be about business. But what I'm hoping to do is expand the conversations even beyond business, right? And people already say that that this podcast is more than business. So for you, are you gonna see a huge difference? Probably not. But for me, mentally, here on the back end, it's kind of a dividing point where I'm like, okay, now I want to talk about business, but if I have guests on, I really want to go into what they are teaching and then also talk about business. But I I want to learn from more people too. And I think I don't know, y'all are probably like, you're crazy. Why are you like saying that it's season two? It's more for me, just kind of an organizational thing. But I kind of feel like it's a new era. Like I feel like from doing this podcast for six years, things have changed. I mean, when we went through COVID together and we're trying everyone was scrambling, and all the tactics that you had to use, like webinars, and you always had to have a lead magnet, which you still need a way for people to get on your email list, but it's different now. It's different. I feel different. And so for me, it's like if I could make it easily season one, where you could see it as season one and then see it as season two, I would do that. But here's the deal with the Apple Podcasts, it's still gonna keep running. We're gonna go episode 326, 327, 328. So you're probably not gonna see a huge difference. Okay. The reason why I just want to tell you for any of you that have a podcast or thinking about starting podcasts, if you decide, for example, for Apple Podcasts to have seasons, what it does is it spreads it apart. And when people look in the podcast app, they will see season one, season two. Like if you've ever listened to True Crime or something, like serial was my very first podcast, and it's sequential. So you need to listen to season one and you need to start at episode one. My podcast is not like that. A lot of you jump in, you look at the recent episodes, and you start and you go. Some of you tell me you do go back to episode one, and you can do that. You can scroll down and go to episode one. But I'm finding that more people kind of want more recent episodes in the beginning for like recent topics. Now, again, I could be wrong. Give me your feedback, but I'm just gonna keep this flowing. So it's just gonna keep going in sequential order, and it makes more sense when I'm doing these episodes to just say episode 326, episode 327 versus season two, episode one, because it would start all over with new episodes. Okay. And again, if I had seasons, it would have the oldest episode at the top. And the newest episodes would have you'd have to scroll down to them. And it just doesn't make as much sense to me. It just doesn't. So I think we're just gonna keep it in sequential order. And so you're probably thinking, then why are you calling this a new season? Again, I think it's for me for a mental, mental, what is that? To satisfy my mental organizational skills. You know, if you've ever had to organize something, it's kind of what I feel like. Like from this point on, I feel like I just wanted to give myself more permission, or I guess give myself permission to have more freedom with what I've talked about because I've been very focused on business. I still want to do that. We're focusing on business. This is a business podcast for all of you. Okay. But again, I may go into deeper conversations when I have guests on. I may sometimes go off on topics that aren't business and just make it even more fun. So I'll have you know that a lot of the strategies that we learn in business, the basic strategies about overcoming fear or pursuing your passion or pursuing something more in your life, they apply to other areas of your life. And I'd love to kind of expand into that. Okay, so that's what we're doing. This is the the end of season one. And we're gonna just start anew. It's gonna be fresh and fun. Again, same thing. Um, same thing, but just a little more of it, a little more fun. And maybe if there's topics that I really feel called to have on, I want to give myself the freedom to do that. So if you're here and you're like, you know what? I only want to hear business. I don't want to hear anything else, okay, then stick with these first 325 episodes up to this episode. Okay. But if you want the current talk about business and you want to maybe get inspired or learn something new that is even beyond business, okay. Like if I have a guest on that's a business owner, but she teaches some amazing topic. I'm gonna delve into that topic because I think it's interesting and I'm curious. And I think you are too. So that's it. Again, call me crazy. But this is what I'm doing to get organized. I'm super excited. And thank you all for being here, for being fans. And I'm just excited for what's to come. I don't know, I just kind of feel refreshed and it's like kind of getting a fresh haircut. Like it's the same old me, just with a fresh haircut. And um, I'm excited. So thank you for being here. And until next time, bye now. Now, this episode may be over, but our relationship does not have to end here.
